MAWI United GmbH has released a demo for Unreal Engine 5.1 that showcases a desert landscape. The demo makes use of Nanite and Lumen. Set in an oasis in the desert, the demo pushes the limits of the graphics card in 4K.
Unreal Engine 5.1 Demo pushing the limits of NVIDIA RTX 4090
When we look at the details of the video prepared in 4K, we see that the demo works on NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 and AMD Ryzen 9 7950X. Values that sometimes exceed 100 FPS in the video can sometimes fall below 50 FPS, especially at night. No explanation has been given as to whether DLSS is turned on or not.
All assets, including trees and plants, as well as rocks and rubble, feature high resolution Nanite. They have set everything to the maximum to produce next generation visuals.
You may also want to purchase the MW Dune Desert Landscape work and use it in your own projects. You can buy the package, which is sold for $159, here.
You can download the 2.7 GB demo of MAWI here and see how hard your system is or how many FPS it gives. Although the RTX 3080 is recommended for the demo, the minimum required graphics card is the RTX 2080.
